This policy covers the Pétanque Game mobile app
(com.ludivenstudio.petanquegame). The pétanque game on the website
(ludiven-studio.fr/jeux/petanque) and the rest of the website have their
own policy. Last updated: 27 October 2026 (ads move from Google AdMob to Unity LevelPlay, and the game asks for your
consent in its own window).
This is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, the original French version prevails.

Against the computer and with two players on one phone, the game needs neither an account nor the internet. Your progress then stays on your phone. Even without an account, a few exchanges take place when the phone is online:
If you open the ranking without being signed in, the game connects to Unity with an anonymous player ID, drawn at random, to read the list. It carries no name and no email address.
Coins, the shop, leagues, online play and purchases need an account. The game offers you one when you need it: you sign in with Google on Android, and with Apple ("Sign in with Apple") on iPhone. We never receive your password.
The phone gives a sign-in token to Unity Authentication, which creates your Unity player ID (a random number) and links it to your Google or Apple account. Google's token contains your Google account ID and, as Google specifies, your email address, your name and your profile picture: the game does not read them, show them or use them. The game asks Apple for neither your name nor your email address.
Your progress is saved in Unity Cloud Save, tied to your player ID: your coins, the items you bought and the ones you use (boules, jacks, throwing circles, scenery, outfits), your daily bonus and your streak, your challenges and your achievements, your wins and your losses, your leagues, your current cup and your trophies, your online rating, your game settings, your name, the player you chose, the "No ads" option if you bought it, and the numbers of the purchases already credited (so the same payment is never credited twice).
A copy stays on the phone so you can play offline; it is sent up the next time you connect. If the phone and the account do not have the same progress, the game asks you which one to keep. Signing out (Options › "Account") leaves your progress on your account.
Your name. You choose it in "My character" (16 characters at most; a club name is suggested). It does not have to be your real name: do not put a surname, a number or an address in it. A filter refuses offensive names, in the game's five languages, and hides them if they still make it to the screen.
What other players see:
There is no chat, no messages and no voice. To have a name removed, yours or another player's, write to contact@ludiven-studio.fr and give the name.

The game does not ask for your GPS location, your contacts, your photos, the microphone or the camera. We do not pass your account, your name or your progress on to advertising.
The game is free and funded by advertising, served by Unity LevelPlay with the ad networks ironSource Ads and Unity Ads (Unity Technologies and its subsidiary ironSource): optional videos that you choose to watch (to double your coins from a game or your daily bonus, or for free coins), and an ad between two free-play games against the computer, at most once every two games. Google plays no part in this game's ads or in your consent.
Your consent. At first launch, whatever your country, an "Ads and privacy" window asks whether you accept that ironSource and Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) store and read information on your phone, including its advertising ID, to show you ads chosen from your interests, inferred from your activity in this game and in other apps, and to measure how they perform. "Accept" and "Decline" carry the same weight.
If you accepted, to show the ads, choose them, measure them and fight fraud, the ironSource and Unity Ads modules receive your phone's advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address (which gives an approximate location, at city level), your interactions with the ads, your usage time, technical information (performance, crashes) and, according to Unity Ads, your in-game purchases. Their auctions may pass the ad request on to other ad buyers.
"No ads", a one-off purchase, removes the ads between games. The optional videos are still offered to anyone who wants coins: if you accepted ads, the ad module therefore keeps running.
You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your phone's settings. To learn more, and for the partners of ironSource and Unity Ads: Unity's privacy policy, which covers Unity Ads, LevelPlay and ironSource.
The game sends Umami Cloud, a cookie-free statistics tool, the name of certain actions, with a few details:
app_open — the game starts (with whether ads can be shown or not);match_start / match_end — a game starts or ends (mode, level, result, score);cup_enter / cup_end — a league cup starts or ends (league, round reached, winnings);rated_end — a ranked game ends (result, rating band);daily_bonus, challenge_claim — a daily bonus (streak) or a challenge (coins) is collected;shop_buy, iap_buy — an item is bought with coins (item, price), or with money (product);ad_consent — your answer in the "Ads and privacy" window (yes or no);ad_offer, ad_rewarded, ad_interstitial — a video is offered or watched, an ad is shown (placement, result);account_gate, sign_in, sign_out, account_delete — the account is asked for, a sign-in, a sign-out or a deletion takes place (Google or Apple, success);reminders, review_ask, howto, update_prompt, update_tapped — your answer about reminders, the store's review request, a "How to play" page, the update offer. Each send also carries the platform, the version of the game and of the system, the phone model, the phone's language and the screen size. No player ID, name, account, email address or advertising ID is included: these statistics are linked neither to your account nor to your identity.
Like any web service, Umami sees your phone's IP address. It does not keep it, but infers the country, the region and the city from it. To count visitors, it groups the actions made from the same connection and the same phone model, for one calendar month at most.
The game sells coin packs and the "No ads" option. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store: we never see your payment details or your billing address. Unity's purchase module, inside the app, receives a proof of purchase ("receipt") from the store; the game then credits your purchase and keeps its transaction number in your progress. According to Unity, this module may also send Unity the purchase history and technical information about the device.
A purchase needs an account: coins live in your progress. Options › "Restore purchases" gives "No ads" back after a reinstall.
Reminders. After your first game, the game asks whether you want a reminder, then the phone asks for your permission. These are local notifications: the game schedules them on your phone when you leave the game (the next evening for your daily bonus and your challenges, then after three and seven days away) and clears them when you come back. No server sends you any message and nothing leaves the phone. Options › "Reminders" turns them off, and so do the phone's settings.
Your review. After your third win against the computer, the game may ask the store to show its rating form (at most once every 120 days, three times in all). This form is Google's or Apple's: your rating and your comment go to the store, and the game does not know whether you rated it.
Updates. At launch, the game reads a small file on our website that gives the number of the latest version, to offer you an update. As for any web page, the website's host (GitHub) sees your phone's IP address. Nothing else is sent.
Game engine. The game is built with Unity, whose engine may send Unity anonymous technical statistics about the device (model, system, processor, graphics card).
All of this disappears when you uninstall the app.
In the app: Options › "Delete my account" (the button appears when you are signed in), then confirm. You need an internet connection. It is immediate and final:
Your coins, your boules, your items and your trophies are lost, on all your phones. "No ads" stays tied to your Google Play or App Store account: "Restore purchases" gives it back. Without a connection, the game says "Not possible right now" and nothing is half erased.
Your line in the ranking (your name and your rating) is not erased by this button yet. Write to us to have it removed: we erase it within one month.
Without the app: write to contact@ludiven-studio.fr giving your name, the type of account (Google or Apple) and, if you remember it, the date of your last game. We erase your progress, your account and your line in the ranking within one month, and confirm it to you by email. We may ask you for something to check that the account is really yours. You can also reinstall the game, sign in with the same account and delete it yourself.
What is out of our hands: your Google or Apple account itself and your purchase history, kept by Google or Apple. You can remove the game's access in the settings of your Google account (third-party app connections) or of your Apple ID ("Sign in with Apple"). Usage statistics carry no identifier: there is nothing to erase there.
We have no server of our own. Your data is neither sold nor passed on. It is processed only by these providers:
These providers are US companies or their subsidiaries. These transfers are governed by the mechanisms of Chapter V of the GDPR: standard contractual clauses and, for the providers concerned, certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07.
The game is meant for adults: it is not intended for under-18s, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent and notice that a child has created an account, write to us: we will delete it.
All exchanges are encrypted (HTTPS). Your progress can only be read with your account's session, or by us from Unity's console. Online games go through Unity's servers: your opponent does not see your IP address. Your session is kept in the app's storage, on your phone.
This policy may change with the game. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. In the event of a significant change, the game will let you know.
